Today was the first day that we were all trying to aviod using styrofoam.  I'm beginning to think this may a bigger deal than I thought.  My roomates and I went to Inoko Express last night and I couldn't even eat! I had to go to the Taco Bell and then bring my meal to Inoko.  Inoko didn't have any other options for plates or to go boxes that weren't styrofoam! This was so annoying! I love Inoko!

No styrofoam. That dosen't seem like a problem does it? Hardly.... Today I went to Peaches on Broad St. for some good country cooking. As the lady behind the glass window started dipping my mac-n-cheese onto a  styrofoam plate, I began waving my hands in a frantic motion. She looked at me like I was crazy. "You can't use styrofoam" I loudly proclaimed. "It's non-biodegradable, and produces harmful gases that permeate the enviroment". I really thought the lady behind the glass was going to shove a hot plate of mac-n-cheese down my pants or spit in my food. But instead, she calmly told me that all the had was styrofoam, and unless I wanted to eat off the floor, I would have to suck it up.

Well, I really wanted to bring home my leftovers from dinner.  So much for that idea.  I had no idea so many resturants relied so heavily on styrofoam for takeout and leftovers.

Wow... so much for Chick-fil-a! I tried to get the woman behind the counter to just put my drink in one of my cups.  She was just so confused by this request that she simply said, " What? I'm sorry, I really don't understand what you are talking about".  I was really tired of trying to explan so I just gave up and ate my nuggets without a drink.

I had a really funny conversation with a man working at Dunkin Donuts.  They serve their small coffee in paper cups and the larger ones in styrofoam.  When I asked if I could have a large paper cup, he gave me a large coffee in two small cups.  I looked really funny when I walked on campus carring two coffes for myself...oh well, its better than using styrofoam.

I'm at the library and I'm starving! I went to 'Tween the Pages to grab an Instant Lunch and I couldn't get one because they are in styrofoam! I was really craving a good, warm cup of soup on this rainy day.
